SholomLearning is a flexible part-time Hebrew and Judaics School for children in JK through Grade 7.
Our home base is Beth Sholom Synagogue, a traditional, egalitarian, and vibrant shul located at Eglinton and Allen Road. Beth Sholom Synagogue’s mission has always been one of Gemillut Hasidim (Social Action), Achdut (Jewish Unity), and Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World).
Within SholomLearning, we aim to plant the seeds of these important Jewish values in the hearts and minds of our students. We offer two convenient satellite locations in midtown Toronto, at West Preparatory Junior Public School and Brown Junior Public School. SholomLearning is made up of two complimentary streams, our weekday Hebrew Connections after-school program and our twice-monthly Shabbat Do N’ Learn. Shabbat Do N’ Learn is unique from other Jewish learning programs, as it provides an opportunity for whole family learning and engagement in synagogue on Shabbat.
We encourage you to reach out to us to learn more about how our school can work for your family.
Repairing the World
We teach the Jewish value of social justice through our interaction with Out of the Cold and other initiatives of kindness.
We teach the value of Jewish unity by singing and learning together as a kehilah (community).
We teach children to care for the environment through a uniquely Jewish lens, understanding that the Torah commands us to be the caretakers of the earth.
